One controller for the doors and the alarm
Vigil Core combines access control and intrusion alarm in the same field controller and the same software, so a door forced at 2 a.m. is an alarm event with the cardholder history attached, not two records in two systems. Readers connect over OSDP, which encrypts the reader-to-controller link and lets us specify readers from multiple vendors on the same platform — card readers, keypads and alarm keypads, biometric readers and licence-plate recognition — rather than being tied to one reader brand.
For an airport operator with several regional terminals, the value is standardisation: the same door schedules, the same alarm procedures and the same operator training at every site, administered from one place, with each terminal able to run on its own if the wide-area link drops.

Centralised alarm monitoring & building management
Every site in one monitoring centre
Vigil Core’s centralised monitoring receives alarms from every site, attaches the camera clip that verifies them, and drives the operator’s response procedure — the model used by banks and utilities that cannot staff a control room at each location. Environmental sensors for vibration, gas, smoke and temperature, and control of lighting and air-conditioning, sit on the same platform, so the security system also tells the facilities team when a plant room is overheating.
Delivered as a subscription with remote maintenance and automatic updates, it moves a multi-site estate from capital spend on servers to a predictable operating cost, with a faster return than a site-by-site build.
