Avigilon, part of Motorola Solutions, pairs a broad camera range with analytics that run on the camera itself — so the system tells the operator where to look rather than asking them to watch every screen.

The Avigilon range runs to more than a hundred models: pan-tilt-zoom cameras that track a target across an apron, dome, bullet and box cameras for doors and corridors, multi-sensor and 360° panoramic cameras for car parks, and resolutions up to 10K where a single camera has to hold evidential detail across the whole scene.
We select cameras by scene, not by catalogue — lens, low-light performance, housing rating and mounting are specified for each position in the design, and each position is tied to the perimeter zone or door it covers.

Avigilon Unity Video (the successor to Avigilon Control Center) is the on-premise platform that brings cameras, analytics, sensors and Unity Access into one interface, in Core, Standard and Enterprise editions that scale from 24 cameras to more than 300 per server and 10,000 per site. Avigilon Alta is the cloud-native alternative for organisations that want multi-site management without on-site servers.
The analytics are the point: Appearance Search finds a person or vehicle across every camera in seconds, Unusual Motion Detection and Focus of Attention flag what deviates from normal, licence-plate recognition reads vehicles at gates, and on-premise GenAI Visual Alerts let an operator type “a delivery truck is outside the building” and be told when it happens. Where the control room runs Genetec, we integrate Avigilon cameras under Security Center instead.

Scene-by-scene design

Network & storage
Retention periods and bandwidth are calculated per camera and the security LAN is designed to carry them with headroom.

Cameras are tied to perimeter zones and doors so an alarm anywhere on the site brings up the right view automatically.
