EcoStruxure Security Expert

Security Expert brings physical access control and intrusion detection onto one platform, with role-based permissions that decide who may pass which door at which time. Because it belongs to the EcoStruxure family, it connects natively to EcoStruxure Building Operation — so a door-forced alarm can bring up the lighting, the HVAC state and the power feed for that area in the same view.

For clients who already run Schneider Electric building or power systems, that single-vendor integration removes a layer of middleware and a layer of support contracts. For sites that do not, we integrate Security Expert with Genetec or Avigilon video through the platforms’ published interfaces.

Power network visibility

EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert

Power Monitoring Expert (PME) is the window into a digitised power network. It collects data from meters and protection devices across the site, and turns it into live dashboards, power-quality analysis, alarms and energy reports. For a facilities team it answers the questions that arrive after an outage: what tripped, in what order, and why.

For a security system, PME is the layer beneath every other layer. Perimeter processors, door controllers, cameras and servers all fail the same way when the power fails. Monitoring the electrical network alongside the security network is how we keep the system available, not just installed.
